Desi Banova-Plevnelieva is a presenter with over 20 years of television experience. She is known to viewers as the long-time NOVA's Weather Forecast presenter, as well as her international recognition for her climate change documentaries. In 2018, she launched an author's project "Success Stories" in the morning block of NOVA - "Hello, Bulgaria".
After motherhood, in 2022 Desi Banova-Plevnelieva returned to the screen as the author of the series "Here and now" in the weekend format "Wake up". Every Saturday she presents popular Bulgarian and world-famous personalities and leaders in the fields of art, theatre, cinema, music, and politics. Among her exclusive interlocutors are the former first lady of Ukraine - Kateryna Yushchenko, Viktor Yushchenko - President of Ukraine 2005-2010, Petro Poroshenko - President of Ukraine 2014-2019, Kerry Kennedy - daughter of the famous American politician and Attorney General Robert Kennedy and niece of the legendary American President John Kennedy, Nathalie de Gaulle - granddaughter of the famous General and President of France Charles de Gaulle, Kailash Satyarthi - winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, who saved nearly 115 thousand children from slavery, Garry Kasparov - world champion in chess. Her television career began in 1996 as part of the team of the show "Kvartal". After a year of working at "7 Days" TV, producer Stefan Kunchev invited her to become the presenter of the "Hansel and Gretel" show on MM TV, after which in 1998 she joined the Nova TV team.
