Iskra Milkova-Angelova
Iskra Milkova-Angelova is a singer, vocal teacher and founder of Highlight Singing Academy. She graduated from the "Sava Dobroplodni" School of Arts with a piano major and continued her education at the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia with a degree in pop and jazz singing. She is doing a master's degree on the topic of "Problems related to the growth and realization of the young performer". She is also a graduate of the Institute for Vocal Advancement – USA California, where she studied some of the most modern vocal methods and became the only certified IVA teacher for the Balkans.
She works as a performer in various musical groups and projects and in 2013 founded her vocal studio for singers - HighLight Singing Studio, now Highlight Singing Academy with 21 teachers and two branches.
Iskra has a team with some of the best pedagogues, with whose help the academy offers the highest level of training in singing, piano, guitar and solfege, as well as group courses in dance, stage behaviour, acting and more. In 2014, at the invitation of Sanya Armutlieva, she became a vocal teacher in X Factor Bulgaria and was part of the TV format in its last four seasons. She has worked with Sanya Armutlieva, Magardich Halvadzhiyan, James Arthur, DONI, Ljubo Kirov, Maria Ilieva, Vasil Naydenov and others.
In 2017, Iskra was part of the Bulgarian Eurovision team as Christian Kostov's vocal teacher. She also works with the talented artists Mihaela Fileva, Dara Yotova, Christian Kostov, Mihaela Marinova, Eva Parmakova, Hristina Yosifova and the winner of The Voice of Bulgaria 2022 Jacqueline Tarakchi. Iskra is passionate about everything related to the voice and building young artists-performers for the big stage
Apart from developing their full vocal capacity, Iskra aims to improve the musical culture, values and standards of the young generation of musicians. Her organization aims to be a space where new artists performers can develop, create freely and exchange experience and knowledge.
