Martina Vachkova was born on July 29, 1959 in Sofia. She is the daughter of the famous actor Grigor Vachkov. In 1978, she graduated from the Technical College of Photography, and then from the Theatre and Film Academy "Kr. Sarafov" majoring in Acting under Prof. Nikolay Lyutskanov. After her graduation in 1982, she worked in the "Konstantin Velichkov" Theatre in Pazardzhik. In 1985, she worked at the "Aleko Konstantinov" Satirical Theater, and from 1992 she has participated in several stage productions of the National Theater and the "Sfumato" Theater Workshop.
Martina gained popularity in the 1990s on the television shows "Cuckoo" and "Canaletto". She hosted a morning TV show on Channel 1 - "Why not! with Marta Vachkova", later renamed "The Women". During the period 2011-2015, she was the presenter of the BNT show "The Apartment".
